This blog contains history, photos, etc. related to Idaho from the late 1800's/early 1900's. My mother, Brenda Steunenberg Richards, was born in ID. Much of it pertains to the assassination of my great grandfather, Gov. Frank Steunenberg, the trial of Bill Haywood & grew out of the 100 year commemorations of those events. Along the way I toss in a bit of the Wild West, old guns, radios, military, etc. Your comments are welcomed. If using my images, please just ASK. Thank you.

The player in the middle row, far left (next to James Boone) is my great-grandfather James D. Ruark Sr. (1888-1923). I remember seeing this photo as a young boy and don't know where our family copy is today so it is nice to see this again. Thank you for posting.

Cory:
Thanks for sharing and identifying your great-grandfather. I donated this photo to the College of Idaho Archives. If you every want to see the original or get a higher resolution scan, you can contact Jan Boles, Archivist, and he will be happy to help you out.
