I have always loved this house and wondered why it was not considered a treasure by the city. It has needed care for many years. I am so sorry for the fire.

John i changed emails last year and have fallen off your blog email list. Could you reinstate me
at rcsobba@gmail.com

I also have wrote an article on Angus Sutherland , who was named sheriff in Shoshone County when Gov. Steunenberg removed the official sheriff as he was an ally of the Western Federation of Miners and actually aided them during the riots. Sutherland had quite a career and was targeted several times for asssassination, unsuccessfully, by the union. I also lost your email address if you would like a copy of this story let me know.

I have complied a lot of information about Simpkins and have verified many of the sightings of him as false. I still feel the union killed him. His wife listed herself as a widow in all the census from 1910 until her death in the 1940's.

It is beyond sad to see the grand old homes north of the tracks disappear one by one.

I think in Boise they would be cared for and preserved.
