This blog contains history, photos, etc. related to Idaho from the late 1800's/early 1900's. My mother, Brenda Steunenberg Richards, was born in ID. Much of it pertains to the assassination of my great grandfather, Gov. Frank Steunenberg, the trial of Bill Haywood & grew out of the 100 year commemorations of those events. Along the way I toss in a bit of the Wild West, old guns, radios, military, etc. Your comments are welcomed. If using my images, please just ASK. Thank you.

The Other Assassination
The other assassination that shook my world as a young boy (age 12) just beginning to waken up to the world of politics. A rude awakening it was. Click on the image to enlarge using my footnote.com viewer.
Thank you for this! Being on a break from my blog on the 22nd of November was tough given that it is a date that has a great deal of significance for me. I'm currently reading The Kennedy Detail by former Secret Service agent Gerald Blaine and it is fascinating. Those poor men were impacted by the assassination in ways that most of us cannot fathom. The guilt, the responsibility that they each held is heartbreaking to read about. Anyway... I could go on, but I won't hijack your post. Thanks again.
