Frank S. probably c.1890's Idaho legislature. |
This blog contains history, photos, etc. related to Idaho from the late 1800's/early 1900's. My mother, Brenda Steunenberg Richards, was born in ID. Much of it pertains to the assassination of my great grandfather, Gov. Frank Steunenberg, the trial of Bill Haywood & grew out of the 100 year commemorations of those events. Along the way I toss in a bit of the Wild West, old guns, radios, military, etc. Your comments are welcomed. If using my images, please just ASK. Thank you.

Bob:
Glad it went well and happy to have helped in some small way. Wish I could have been there but I will look forward to picking up a copy of the journal when it comes out.
Hope to take you up on that lunch one day soon as way over due for a visit.
Regards, John

John, the roundup went well. Many people there had no idea about the Steunenberg murder. I mentioned "Idaho Meanderings". I had many good comments about the presentations on the murder and on Orchards time in prison. They asked me to put my presentation in writing to put in the WWHA journal that comes out every other month. I will be working on that next. Thanks for your help, keep in touch and if you make it up here sometime let me know and I'll buy your lunch.
I contacted someone listed on the WWHA website about attending the presentation at the old pen and nobody got back to me. I'm glad to hear it went well, though.
