This blog contains history, photos, etc. related to Idaho from the late 1800's/early 1900's. My mother, Brenda Steunenberg Richards, was born in ID. Much of it pertains to the assassination of my great grandfather, Gov. Frank Steunenberg, the trial of Bill Haywood & grew out of the 100 year commemorations of those events. Along the way I toss in a bit of the Wild West, old guns, radios, military, etc. Your comments are welcomed. If using my images, please just ASK. Thank you.

Uncovering Canyon County
The was a 1/2 hour KBOI TV 2 special sometime back so many of our Idaho friends have no doubt seen it. I was cleaning out some blog drafts and saw it never got posted. Nice history piece featuring the Canyon County Historical Museum and a segment on Frank's assassination and the Haywood trial beginning at 12.28 on the video.

Thanks for posting this video. Even though I am far away, Canyon County will always be home for me. The history is fascinating.
Glad I could bring a little bit of home to you. Thanks for visiting my Idaho blog. John
